Oh hey there..

I have been spending the last 5 weeks living in a purply world of glam. I did a custom antique bedroom set. The whole set. Deadline has been met with a lot of hard work, time, pain, paint and wax. I reveal to you, The Sophia!!

Dang photo bombing fingers. lol This gorgeous set is getting shipped to Indiana in the morning. It will be my first time shipping. I don't plan on making that a regular thing, yet anyway. I love comments so please say "Hi". And if you would like to talk about something lovely for yourself or gift let me know.

Back to warm

After selling the vanity I took a trip to Indiana to see family and attend a dear friends wedding. Travel was horrible. Both ways. I cried a lot. I am home now and after some late night conversations have decided that I just have no reason to doubt myself or my work. It was a good pep talk. And to back that up I am getting ready to do a large custom order for some friends in Indiana. I love it and the fact that someone believes and trust in my ability to pull it off.  So back to the grind it is. :) Oh and the nice warm weather that is Arizona.

A work of art I tell ya.

Some of you may remember this yucky vanity.
The shape of this beast is just unique and grand. It sat in my garage forever and ever as I went back and forth on what to do with it. Well finally I pulled the trigger. Lots of second guessing and redoing and third guessing happened. I struggled with keeping the vintage feel without it being to cheesy and it was worth it in the end because I wound up with this!

Leave me a comment, let me know you were here! Have a great week.

Redo a redo

I just noticed that I didn't put up the chairs that I redid again. So lets start with the very first before. These chairs are over 100 years old and just in wonderful shape. Needed updated for sure.
Now here is a picture of the first redo. I admit it's not everyone's cup of tea.
I thought they were fun. But, no go for a sale. So, I redid the redo! Here they are as they sit today.

I love the detail on them! Here is the Craigslist link if you are in the area and interested.

Oh how I wish I could keep this buffet.

I loved this buffet from the moment I got it. Solid built and great ornate details. I worked fast and furious to get it done. No reason other then it just kept speaking to me. Four days later and it's done. Here's a before Bizzzzarf.
And here is after

I love it, and if you do also check out the Craigslist ad.
Have a great weekend all.

Oh this is fabulous!

Newest finished piece. I picked her up in a very sad state at a garage sale. I'm still trying to find the "before" picture. Enjoy the "after".

Wow it's been so long since I've been here. Well to update you quickly of course Christmas was a very busy time and I got to go home to Indiana for 8 days without my children! It was a MUCH needed break to see my family and friends. After I got home I had surgery and that is pretty much it. I am slow moving on recovery for this one BUT I have been able to score some super sweet pieces that I can not wait to get started on. How was your Christmas or New Years?
