Update on my favorite piece....SOLD! And going to a great home.

We needed a dining room set. The pub height one just isn't cutting it for two little ones. We bought a wooden table and chairs from craigslist that was pretty dirty. I painted them real quick and went about to learn how to reupholster for the first time. So here are the chairs before and after. Not to bad for a first timer.

I ran (walked) a 7k on Saturday and then had a St. Pattys party at my house and I have been playing catch up ever since. Anyhow, I discovered something very bad for me. I love color and patterns. I'm like a ferret. Whoa, shiny! I bought $80 worth of card stock book collections. And that was half off at Michaels! Now, what in the hell am I going to do with it all? Stay tuned for my absolutely favorite spray primer. Here is a random piece I am 2/3 way done.

This weekend

Picked up a lot of new projects. Can't wait to get started. This one is going to be crazy for sure. Sorry the top drawer isn't pushed in so it messes with the eyes a little.
Well the antique solid wood handmade desk/vanity/sideboard whatever you want to call it is finally done! I am very proud of it. Here is the before.

And here it is repaired, recycled and super fab. I love it. Now to sell it.

Long day

Today Chuck and myself cleaned out and organized the garage. Put up a table and some different things to keep things clutter free.  I feel better about the area and things we are going to accomplish.

Dear Martha,
I LOVE the tin color. I hate the price. $45 for a gallon? I still purchased it because I really wanted this specific effect. But thats enough with the attitude. P.S. You better look great since I paid more for you than the actual furniture!

I have a color in mind that will be kind of wild for this piece. Here is the before.

 And the hardware is beautiful!

My very first upcycle

Here is the before and after of my first upcycle.
Before
After

It's not perfect by any means but I really love the color and light distressing.

One thing at a time.

You know I really need to learn that I can only take on so much. I see furniture and instantly I start to think of what I could do to it and how to use it. Problem is I am only one person. Well, with the help of the husband for repairs. I need a truck. And bigger muscles!
